Biography
Howell Bellamy, III is originally from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Howell was a Citadel Scholar and graduated cum laude from The Citadel in 1989. He then attended the University of South Carolina School of Law, graduating in 1993. After law school, Howell clerked for the Honorable Sidney Floyd, Circuit Court Judge for the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit of the State of South Carolina. From 1994 to 2000, Howell worked as a Prosecutor in the Horry County Solicitor's Office. While at the Solicitor's Office, Howell tried more than forty three (43) cases in general sessions court before juries. These cases involved charges of drug trafficking, murder, armed robbery, assault batery of high aggravated nature, assault battery with intent to kill, breach of trust over ten thousand, and driving under the influence.
Howell joined the Bellamy Law Firm in 2000. Howell's practice focuses on General Litigation, such as Personal Injury, Condominium Law, Tort and Contract Law, and Construction Defect Cases, as well as Civil Appellate Practice and Criminal Defense.
Howell has successfully litigated, mediated and/or resolved over hundreds of civil and criminal cases since becoming a member and partner with the Law firm. Additionally, he has successflly briefed and argued appeals before the South Carolina Supreme Court and also the South Carolina Court of Appeals.
Howell's community involvement is focused on the South Strand. He is a member of All Saints Church in Pawleys Island and Wachesaw Plantation Club. Howell and his wife Paige volunteer for and are advocates of the Non-Profit Coastal Youth Ballet Theatre in Murrells Inlet.
